1967 Aston Martin DB6
Chassis Number: DB6/3280/R
Richards of England is proud to present this fully restored DB6 Vantage Specification. First delivered to Glasgow in 1967, this stunning matching numbers example has been returned to its original exterior colour of Platinum Silver.
Chassis number ‘DB6/3280/R was sourced from a private collection in Japan. Where it is believed that the car spent much of its life, until the car was imported in 2018 by the current owner. A ‘body off’ restoration to 'concours' standard was then commissioned and completed by marque specialists Richards of England, with no expense spared.
Following its 2,500-hour restoration process, this DB6 is something of unparalleled quality. For example, fabrication of the chassis, Superleggera frame and aluminium panel work contributed over 800 hours alone. The newly instated aluminium front nose cone was hand-formed over an original buck, carried out by industry experts, Body Lines of Olney. The latest rust prevention products and processes have also been applied following the fabrication stage. Hundreds of photographs detailing all aspects of the restoration stages and processes can be found below.
